Trung Son commune (Do Luong district) receives certificate recognizing it as a New Rural Area.
(Baonghean.vn) - After nearly 8 years of implementation, with the determined efforts of the Party committee, government and people, Trung Son commune (Do Luong district) has achieved many high results, creating positive changes in various fields and has been recognized as a commune meeting the standards of the New Rural Development program.
On the morning of April 21st, Trung Son commune (Do Luong district) held a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing it as a new-style rural commune from the province. Attending the ceremony was Mr. Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Trung Son is a commune with a large geographical area of 765.3 hectares and a population of over 5,620 people. In 2011, Trung Son commune only met 5 criteria, but now it has met all 19 criteria as stipulated, and the rural landscape has improved significantly.

The total cost of implementation was nearly 193 billion VND, of which the people contributed 41.7 billion VND; and expatriates contributed 584 million VND. The people also donated 2,000 square meters of land.2Residential land, valued at 2.1 billion VND; donated 45,000 m² of agricultural land.2, valued at 3.6 billion VND. In addition, the people contributed 48,000 man-days of labor; and built houses and other supporting facilities worth over 65 billion VND.
In recent years, the Party Committee, government, organizations, and people of Trung Son commune have organized the planning of intensive cultivation areas for high-economic-value crops, achieving yields of over 300 million VND/hectare. The total annual food production reached nearly 3,330 thousand tons, the average per capita income in 2018 reached 34.4 million VND, the percentage of well-off and wealthy households increased rapidly, and the poverty rate decreased to 3.17%.

The movement for beautiful gardens, clean houses, and civilized alleys, along with the 60-day campaign to build new rural areas, has brought about changes to the face of the countryside in Trung Son commune.
In 2018, the commune's Party Committee was rated excellent, being one of seven units in the entire district to receive a Certificate of Commendation from the District Party Committee.

At the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented the Certificate of Recognition for achieving the New Rural Standard and 500 million VND to Trung Son commune; and awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 4 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the New Rural Development movement.
The People's Committee of Do Luong District also awarded certificates of commendation to individuals and groups who achieved outstanding results in the new rural development movement. They also awarded 100 million VND to Trung Son commune.
