Fire in stilt house at night, 1 child died
The cause of the house fire was determined to be the family's carelessness while cooking, causing the fire to spread from the pile of straw below to the stilt house.
On the morning of April 21, Mr. Nguyen The Hung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ia Pa district (Gia Lai) said that a house fire had just occurred in the area, causing the death of a child.

Also according to Mr. Hung, on the same morning, the People's Committee of this district had just sent a preliminary report on the incident to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai province.
According to initial information, at around 10:30 p.m. on April 20, a fire broke out in a stilt house in Rniu village, Ia Boăi commune (Ia Pa district).
The initial cause was determined to be the family's carelessness in cooking, causing the fire to spread from the straw pile below to the house. At the time of the fire, there was Mrs. Kpa H'Mranh and 2 children (grandchildren of Mrs. Kpa H'Mranh) in the house.
Upon discovering the incident, people nearby quickly came to put out the fire and rescue people. However, due to the large fire, a 3-year-old girl died in the fire. Ms. H'Mranh is currently being treated at the hospital.
