"There is absolutely no hope that we will normalize relations or that Kiev will lift sanctions and embargoes on Crimea tomorrow and give official status to the Russian language, especially when we know who is behind Zelenskiy. We do not have any positive expectations," Konstantinov said.

Earlier the same day, according to the Ukrainian Election Commission, with 95% of the votes counted, candidate Zelensky, 41 years old, a comedian who was once considered to have no political experience, won an overwhelming victory with 73% of the votes compared to incumbent President Poroshenko who only won 25%.
