Ly Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh) receives Certificate of recognition as a commune meeting New Rural standards

The report of the People's Committee of Ly Thanh commune (Yen Thanh) affirmed: After more than 7 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, with the proactive leadership and direction of the Party Committee, the government, effective coordination of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and organizations, the consensus of the people, and the support of superiors, Ly Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district has achieved valuable results, recognized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee as a commune meeting the New Rural Standards at the end of 2018.

The rural landscape has improved significantly, economic and social infrastructure has been invested in, the transportation system has been gradually improved, and the irrigation system has been invested in to basically meet production needs.

Education has many changes, schools meet national standards; cultural facilities from commune to village are upgraded and newly built. Health care is invested in, serving well for initial medical examination and treatment for people; environmental sanitation is done well.

Political stability, people trust in the leadership of the Party and the administration; mass organizations, economic units, and villages operate effectively; national defense and security work is ensured; people's material and spiritual lives are gradually improved.

In 2018, the average income per capita reached over 30 million VND/year; the poverty rate was 4.9%. More than 90% of residential houses were built to the standards of the Ministry of Construction, there were no more dilapidated houses; cultural institutions in hamlets met the new rural standards.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Van Hang - Deputy Chief of the Provincial Office for New Rural Area Coordination acknowledged and commended the achievements that Ly Thanh commune has achieved in the new rural area construction movement over the past 7 years.

At the same time, the Party Committee, government and people of Ly Thanh commune are requested to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity and democracy, improving the criteria of new rural areas, moving towards building an advanced new rural commune and a model new rural commune. Especially, paying attention to improving the spiritual and material life of the people.

After more than 7 years of building the new rural area, Ly Thanh commune has mobilized over 116 billion VND to invest in the new rural criteria. Of which, the central budget: 10 billion VND, accounting for 8.58%; the provincial budget: 11.75 billion VND, accounting for 10.08%; the district budget: 4.06 billion VND, accounting for 3.48%; the commune budget: 4.67 billion VND, accounting for 4.0%; the combined - socialized capital: 9.31 billion VND, accounting for 7.99%; the people's contribution: 76.82 billion VND, accounting for 65.93%.
