(Baonghean.vn) - Many Do Luong voters believe that current land regulations still have many loopholes, leading to many shortcomings in land management and use.

On the morning of April 24, National Assembly deputies: Le Quang Huy - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment; Nguyen Thi Thao - Doctor of Tay Bac General Hospital had a meeting with voters before the 7th session in Minh Son commune (Do Luong district).

At the beginning of the meeting, delegate Le Quang Huy informed voters about the contents expected to be put forward for comments in the upcoming session.

At the meeting, most of the voters' opinions revolved around the issue of land and policies for people with meritorious services. Voter Tran Doan Son (Lac Son commune) said that some draft laws were not "smooth" so the National Assembly should consider stopping to study them more carefully, not rushing. Meanwhile, the Land Law still has many loopholes leading to inadequacies in land management and use.

Regarding the same issue regarding land regulations, voter Nguyen Cong Than said that the authorities need to review this law.

“Why is there social housing for low-income people in big cities but there is no cheap land to bid for the poor in rural areas? The current land bid is too high, only the rich can buy it. Many families have children who get married but cannot afford to buy land to live on their own.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Vo Huu Te (Nhan Son commune) said that his family's land has been in the project for many years but has not been compensated, although he has complained many times to the district, so far he has not received any results.

Concerned about the agricultural issue, voter Nguyen Dinh Luu said that currently the rice fields in the area are in the flowering season but there is not enough water for the fields. The water pumps of the JICA project are running all day but the flow is not enough. This situation is making farmers very worried.

Regarding the policy issue, voter Vo Van Thao (Xuan Son commune) reflected that he is one of the soldiers returning from an international mission in Cambodia. Together with his comrades, he is entitled to health insurance. However, in the past 3 months, the insurance card has been reduced to 80% coverage, requesting the authorities to study and reconsider.

In addition, at the voter meeting, many opinions also focused on current issues such as the recent issue of university entrance exam scores in Ha Giang, Son La, and Hoa Binh. “Many provincial leaders and officials who ran exam scores for our children requested appropriate punishment. They no longer have prestige, so they should be removed from office,” said voter Nguyen Duy Luong.

This voter is also upset about the current situation of fake war invalids and at the same time suggests that the identities of these people should be made public and the role of people in monitoring should be strengthened to detect similar cases.

Receiving the opinions of voters, the representative of the district leaders, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee Nguyen Trung Thanh spent a lot of time to answer the people's questions. Regarding the land auction price being too high, many people cannot afford to buy, Mr. Thanh said that the district has had very strong instructions on the issue of land auction in the area. In the near future, the district will also focus on directing and creating conditions so that families with preferential policies and poor households can buy.

In addition, representatives of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs also answered many opinions and questions from people related to policies for people with meritorious services.

Concluding the meeting, delegate Le Quang Huy highly appreciated the opinions of voters, especially those related to land issues.

“The voters’ opinions are very valid, we accept them. I think the current Land Law still has too many shortcomings and needs to be amended soon. Previously, the National Assembly intended to postpone the amendment of the Land Law, but then voters and delegates did not agree, so we decided to carry out this in 2020,” said Mr. Huy.
