"I am very happy to be in Russia," said leader Kim Jong-un.
Alexander Kozlov, the Russian Federal Minister for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, who welcomed and met with the North Korean leader, expressed hope that Kim Jong-un's visit would leave "warm memories."
In response to the warm welcome, the North Korean side affirmed that Leader Kim Jong-un's visit to Russia "is not the last. These are just the first steps."
Security measures at Khasan station have been increased. Earlier, Kim Jong-un visited the Russia-North Korea Friendship House in the Primorsky Territories, also known as "Kim Il Sung's House," which was built in 1986.
The armored train carrying North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is traveling along the railway line bordering Russia and North Korea. Currently, the train is en route to Ussuriysk, a city in the southern Primorsky Territory. The journey is 260 km long and takes 7 hours.
After stopping in Ussuriysk, the train continues along the Trans-Siberian Railway to Vladivostok. This 70 km journey will take 2 hours.
