Nghe An: Market fire at midnight, dozens of kiosks burned down
(Baonghean.vn) - The fire broke out at midnight at a kiosk located in the center of Hieu market (Thai Hoa town) and quickly spread to the adjacent kiosk. At least dozens of adjacent kiosks were completely burned down.
As baonghean.vn reported: At about 12 midnight on April 24,In the early morning of April 25, a large fire broke out at a kiosk in the central area of Hieu market, Thai Hoa town. The fire area was home to many goods of small traders such as: votive offerings, grocery stalls, plastic goods, restaurants...
Immediately after the fire broke out, the authorities mobilized 10 specialized fire trucks to operate at full capacity to put out the fire, over 250 officers and soldiers from the following units: Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Team No. 3; Thai Hoa Town Police; Town Military Command and military units stationed in the town came to the rescue. After nearly 1 hour, the fire was basically controlled and contained, and the adjacent stalls were moved.

The fire completely destroyed 44 kiosks of 33 small traders at the market. The structure of the stalls was sparse, airy, and easily combustible, so the goods of the traders were burnt black, with initial damage estimated at up to 5 billion VND.
Ms. Le Thi Phuoc -The owner of the three adjacent kiosks that were burned down said in a daze: "My family just borrowed money and spent hundreds of millions to import goods to sell. I didn't expect that in just 30 minutes, my family is now empty-handed. My family's damage is about 700 million VND."

The face of Ms. Pham Thi Ha - who sells dry food and groceries - showed fatigue and confusion. "I ran out to see a big fire burning at my family's stalls, the authorities were spraying water to control the fire; I stood there watching my goods being engulfed in flames, helpless, unable to save them. Everything was burned, I had nothing left," Ms. Ha said sadly.
Looking at the devastated scene after the fire, everyone from the people to the traders were sad and heartbroken, suddenly left empty-handed after one night.
Hieu Market is a large shopping center of Thai Hoa town, the market area is about over 5,000m2.2, there are about 600 small traders doing business here. However, fortunately the fire was discovered early and controlled promptly by the authorities. Currently, the area affected by the fire is being cordoned off by the authorities to investigate the cause of the fire.

On April 25, the leaders of Thai Hoa town visited, encouraged and immediately the People's Committee of Thai Hoa town allocated 50 million VND to support the families of small traders who suffered losses. At the same time, the leaders of the town assigned organizations and local authorities to mobilize agencies, units, businesses, and philanthropists to join hands to support small traders who suffered losses in the fire.
