Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung - Deputy Director of Nghe An Provincial Police said that this is a typical case because this form of fraud is very popular nowadays, however, hacker groups operate very discreetly and professionally.

"Many other units and localities also accept cases, but not everyone can solve cases like this," said the Head of the Nghe An Police Investigation Agency.

Nearly a week after solving the case, Vinh City Police received more than 1,000 phone calls reporting being scammed by similar methods. Among the victims were people living and working abroad.
