Late this afternoon, Chief of the Party Central Office Nguyen Van Nen and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Le Thanh Liem went to the Ho Chi Minh City cemetery (Thu Duc district) to inspect preparations for the funeral of former President Le Duc Anh, which will take place at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow.
At this point, funeral preparations have been completed and the resting place of General Le Duc Anh has been determined.

The portrait of General Le Duc Anh was solemnly placed under the words "Funeral ceremony of comrade Le Duc Anh, former member of the Politburo, former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, former Advisor to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam".
The burial site has been covered with a sunshade and fully equipped with necessary equipment. The organizing committee has arranged electricity, water, fans, lighting and sound systems...
An official involved in the funeral preparations said that tomorrow afternoon, the hearse will carry General Le Duc Anh's coffin from Tan Son Nhat airport, passing by his house and then straight to the Ho Chi Minh City cemetery in Thu Duc.
At Thong Nhat Hall (HCMC), final tasks are being urgently completed, security is being tightened to prepare for the funeral and memorial service for General Le Duc Anh tomorrow morning.
Previously, the General's family wished to transport the former President's coffin to Ho Chi Minh City for burial by commercial plane, not private plane.
Family members also purchase airline tickets like other passengers traveling on the same flight.
The funeral of former President Le Duc Anh was held as a State funeral on May 3-4. The funeral committee consisted of 39 people headed by General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong.

General Le Duc Anh's coffin lies at the National Funeral Home - No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi.
Tomorrow, the funeral of the General will take place from 7am to 11am at the National Funeral Home in Hanoi; at the Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh City and the People's Committee Hall of Thua Thien Hue Province.
The memorial service will begin at 11am.
The funeral will take place at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow at the Ho Chi Minh City cemetery.
During the two days of national mourning, all offices and public places will fly flags at half-mast and all entertainment activities will be suspended; delegations will only wear mourning bands, not wreaths.
