(Baonghean.vn) - Believing that many young people of military age are trying to avoid military service, voters in Yen Thanh district (Nghe An) asked the National Assembly and relevant agencies to find solutions for citizens to exercise their rights and obligations.

Implementing the program of meeting voters before the 7th session of the 14th National Assembly, on the morning of May 4, elected National Assembly deputies at election group No. 3, including Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Sy Hoi - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4 and Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Trang - Secretary of Nghia Dan District Party Committee had a meeting with voters in Bao Thanh commune (Yen Thanh).

Before going into the main content of the conference, voters were informed by delegate Nguyen Sy Hoi of the summary agenda of the 7th session of the 14th National Assembly, thereby allowing voters to pay attention and follow.

Will young people who intentionally get tattoos be called up for military service?

After reflecting on the general situation of the implementation of the Law on Military Service in the locality, voter Phan Dinh Trang - Commander of the Military Command of Bao Thanh commune said that currently there are many young people trying to avoid military service, including many cases of intentionally tattooing their bodies to avoid being called for medical examination.

Voters suggested that the military service council find a solution to this phenomenon. The Military Service Law does not currently prohibit tattooed people from participating in military service, however, in reality, recruitment boards at all levels often "avoid" calling these subjects. Therefore, voter Trang suggested that, if necessary, these subjects could still be called to participate in military service. For cases of citizens of working age who go far away, there should be an early information mechanism so that citizens can return to their localities to exercise their rights and obligations.

To strictly implement the Law on Military Service, voter Trang suggested that the authorities need to synchronously implement many solutions, in which students after graduation must have confirmation from the school about their knowledge of national defense and security transferred to their localities. Only then can we grasp the mobilization reserve force and avoid the situation where students after graduation do not know where to register for permanent or temporary residence.

In addition, for demobilized soldiers, all levels, sectors and units should create conditions for vocational training, career guidance and job creation.

Regarding military rear policy, many voters suggested that the National Assembly pay attention to issuing appropriate policies for people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs.

Raising the issue of corruption as an “octopus” that penetrates every level and corner of life, voter Nguyen Danh Nghi in Bao Thanh commune said that this is a fierce and difficult battle. Voters across the country really hope that the Party and the State will have more drastic and stronger solutions to gradually eliminate corruption from social life. Through this forum, voter Nguyen Danh Nghi suggested that National Assembly deputies need to fight corruption in many ways to create trust among the people.

Also related to corruption, some voters requested that the handling of corrupt assets should be done publicly and transparently so that the people know.

Regarding the issue of cyber security, voter Nguyen Danh Nghi said that the Cyber Security Law has been passed and promulgated by the National Assembly, but in reality, many people still lack understanding of the law. In particular, bad elements have taken advantage of social networks to defame the regime, distort the truth, incite the masses, and cause public confusion. Voters suggested that elected representatives should reflect this situation at the National Assembly session forum and relevant agencies so that the Cyber Security Law can be seriously and effectively implemented, and at the same time, opportunists who seek to sabotage the country's achievements on social networks will be severely punished.

At the conference, there were 22 comments related to 7 groups of issues in the fields that voters were interested in reflecting. Among them, contents such as: land compensation, traffic infrastructure, irrigation, policies for commune officials who are not civil servants and have retired; pressing issues such as achievement disease in education, cheating in exams, school violence, moral degradation among some youth, the situation of increasing electricity and gasoline prices... were also expressed by voters to National Assembly delegates.

Recognizing the sense of responsibility and active contribution of opinions of voters, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh requested: Regarding groups of issues within the scope of handling and resolving of departments, branches, and localities at all levels, relevant responsible persons are requested to explain and clarify immediately at the conference for voters to know.

Local leaders need to regularly exchange and dialogue with the people.

The Provincial Party Secretary also said that in recent times, the province has had many solutions to improve the quality of cadres, civil servants, and public employees, focusing on administrative reform and improving public ethics. According to regulations, commune-level secretaries organize meetings with people twice a month, and district and provincial-level secretaries meet people at least once a month. This is a forum for people to exchange and express their wishes to leaders at all levels.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested the leaders of Yen Thanh district to grasp the situation at the grassroots level, answer and resolve questions and recommendations from the people. Accordingly, all problems between the people and the local Party Committee and government will be resolved through dialogue, and voters should also consider this an opportunity to resolve the difficulties they encounter.

Regarding the issue of violations of the provisions of the Law on Cyber Security, the Head of the National Assembly Delegation acknowledged the support and companionship of voters with Party committees and authorities at all levels in handling violators. Currently, the authorities are fighting very resolutely, however, this is not purely a technical factor, so investigating and verifying violators is facing many difficulties, especially for cases of registration to participate in social networks abroad.

Regarding the negative phenomena in the education sector that have been discovered recently, the Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation agreed with the voters' opinions. The delegate said that law enforcement agencies have dealt very strictly with the subjects in the exam cheating ring; the police have initiated criminal proceedings and prosecuted the accused. Currently, the Government has directed the relevant agencies to continue investigating and clarifying to restore fairness and create trust for the people.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh said that the issues related to the inadequacies of laws and policies serving social life that voters reflect, the provincial National Assembly Delegation will submit to the National Assembly for consideration. Issues under the province's authority will be fully synthesized and transferred to relevant departments, branches and units for resolution.
