30 Nghe An citizens illegally entering China were returned at the Lang Son border.
(Baonghean.vn) - That is the information that the People's Committee of Lang Son province informed the People's Committee of Nghe An province about the increasing illegal entry and exit of Nghe An citizens to China to work, work for hire, and participate in transporting goods across border trails.

According to Official Dispatch No. 69/UBND-NC dated April 4, 2019 of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, in 2018 and the first quarter of 2019 alone, the Border Guard of Lang Son province discovered, propagandized, explained, and requested 165 Nghe An citizens who intended to illegally exit the country to return; at the same time, received 30 Nghe An citizens who illegally entered China and were returned by the Chinese police.
The above-mentioned illegal immigration situation affects security, order and social safety in border areas. In addition, illegal immigrants also face risks when illegally residing, working and working in China due to not having entry and exit papers according to the provisions of law and international practice, making it difficult to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese citizens abroad.

To prevent and remotely stop the situation of Nghe An citizens illegally leaving the country to China, on April 24, 2019, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Official Dispatch No. 2726/UBND.VX requesting relevant departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to strengthen propaganda and education work for local people to strictly comply with the provisions of law on residence, exit, entry and warn of potential risks and dangers when illegally entering and exiting the country.
In fact, in Nghe An in recent years, despite the implementation of many solutions, the situation of illegal labor migration to work and reside illegally in Laos, Thailand, China... is still complicated and tends to increase, mainly in areas where Mong people live. In addition, there are 1,014 workers working in border areas and overseas labor without contracts as prescribed, mainly concentrated in Laos, China, and Thailand.
