Quy Hop District (Nghe An) announced the end of African swine fever

(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Committee of Quy Hop district has decided to declare the end of African swine fever in Quy Hop town on the morning of May 10. This is the fourth locality in the province to declare the end of African swine fever.

Previously, on April 10, at the family of Ms. Do Thi Tuyet in block 20, Quy Hop town (Quy Hop district), there were sick pigs, the test results were positive for African swine fever. The district proceeded to destroy the pigs.

On the morning of April 10, the People's Committee of Quy Hop district announced the end of African swine fever in Quy Hop town, Quy Hop district. At the same time, it announced the threatened epidemic area including the communes of Chau Dinh, Chau Quang, and Tho Hop.

After 30 days of African swine fever outbreak in Quy Hop town, up to now, the locality has not had any new outbreaks. Based on regulations, on May 10, Quy Hop District People's Committee issued Decision No. 719 announcing the end of African swine fever.

Thus, up to this point, Quy Hop is the 4th district of Nghe An to declare the end of African swine fever, after 3 districts Quynh Luu, Do Luong, Tan Ky. In the immediate future, activities of buying, selling, slaughtering, and using pork will return to normal in these localities.

The work of preventing African swine fever in Quy Hop district has encountered some difficulties, with a total herd of over 60,000 pigs, many small-scale pig farms, and mountainous terrain and difficult travel. However, with a high determination, the authorities of communes and people in the district have taken serious and proper steps to prevent the outbreak of new outbreaks.
