Giving hundreds of gifts to poor students in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - Gifts and charity houses were presented by agencies and units to poor students and poor households in Nghe An on May 10.

*Youth Union of the Ministry of Home Affairsgave 20 gifts (worth 10 million VND) to 20 studious students with difficult circumstances in Long Son ward; 2 gifts worth 8 million VND were given to Hoa Hieu 2 Secondary School and Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Thai Hoa town.

It is known that Long Son ward, Thai Hoa town is the second locality in Nghe An, after Nam Dan district, chosen by the delegation to receive gifts in the working program; responding to the political activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's will (1969 - 2019), the 129th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2019).

*Nghe An Border Guard CommandIn coordination with Investment Newspaper and benefactors, the organization presented gifts to 100 students from grades 1 to 9, with good academic achievements and difficult circumstances in Tri Le commune, Que Phong district.

Each gift is worth 500,000 VND, the total value of the gifts is 50 million VND. This is the amount of money that the Nghe An Border Guard Command and Investment Newspaper called on agencies and benefactors to support to give to poor but excellent students in the Nghe An border area.

On this occasion, Dau Tu Newspaper also presented 40 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to children of officers and soldiers of the Nghe An Border Guard force working in remote areas.

Nghe An Border Guard Command also donated 3 bicycles to 3 poor students who have overcome difficulties. Tri Le Border Guard Station donated 1 bicycle to a student sponsored by the Station.

*Thai Hoa Town UnionCoordinated with Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and a local enterprise to organize the groundbreaking ceremony to build a charity house for the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Hamlet 2, Nghia Hoa Commune.

The family of Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Hamlet 2, Nghia Hoa Commune is a poor household with 4 members. Mr. Hung himself is the main laborer but his health is poor, so the family's economy is very difficult; there are no conditions to repair the old house which has seriously degraded.

Sharing the family's situation, Thai Hoa Town Youth Union coordinated with Nghe An Provincial Youth Union to mobilize businesses to support 50 million VND to help Nguyen Van Hung's family build a new house to stabilize and improve their lives.
