No unit has had its cultural village title revoked despite the increase in the number of third children.
(Baonghean.vn) - In Tan Ky district, the number of cases of giving birth to a third child or more increases every year and in 2018 there were 437 cases, but no unit has had its cultural village title revoked.
On the afternoon of May 14, the Culture - Social Committee of the Provincial People's Council had a meeting with the People's Committee of Tan Ky district according to the program to monitor the implementation of goals and targets on culture and sports in the period of 2016 - 2020.

Through practical supervision in Tan An commune and listening to reports from local leaders, members of the supervision team raised many concerns about the loose quality of the cultural family title assessment.
Regarding the title of cultural village, although it achieved a high rate of 73.6%, the inspection, assessment and re-recognition after 3 years has not been implemented.
On the other hand, according to the new regulations, places with drug hotspots, serious crimes, or people giving birth to a third child and being warned for the first, second, or third time must have their cultural village title revoked; however, in reality, in the district, the number of cases of giving birth to a third child or more increases every year, and in 2018 there were 437 cases, but no unit has had its cultural village title revoked.
Regarding the implementation of some physical education targets in schools according to Decision No. 1076/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, such as 50% of general schools teaching swimming and 70% of schools teaching traditional wrestling, there are many shortcomings and have not been implemented;...
Speaking at the meeting, Head of the Culture - Social Committee, Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Thu Huong highly appreciated the district's attention to implementing cultural and sports targets; especially attention to planning and creating cultural and sports spaces to serve the needs of all classes of people.
Emphasizing that the implementation of cultural and sports targets has a direct impact on human development, the Head of the Culture - Social Committee, Provincial People's Council noted that Tan Ky district, in addition to paying attention to mobilizing resources to invest in synchronous cultural and sports institutions from the district to the grassroots, needs to focus on promoting the functionality of the institutions, contributing to improving the spiritual life and health of the people; especially creating many exciting activities, attracting the participation of youth, teenagers and children.

In addition, the district promotes propaganda work, raising people's awareness of cultural and sports values so that people can actively participate, while paying attention to overcoming difficulties and limitations.
The targets of cultural villages; communes meeting new rural cultural standards; communes and towns meeting cultural institutions; and cultural families of Tan Ky district all met and exceeded the targets assigned by the Provincial People's Committee and the targets set forth in the Resolution of the District Party Congress.
Notably, the cultural institution target in the area was achieved by 12/22 communes and towns, accounting for 54.5%; far exceeding the target assigned by the province of 36.4% (according to Resolution No. 71/2012/NQ-HDND of the province) and the target of 45.5% according to Circular No. 04/2014 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
