Going to collect debt, one person was slashed to death, another was injured
(Baonghean.vn) - Dinh and Giang were hired by a woman to go to her ex-husband's house (in Van Son commune, Do Luong, Nghe An) to collect debt, but were eventually chased and slashed by him with two knives.
On May 20, Do Luong District Police said that the unit had handed over the case file and suspect Nguyen Quoc Khanh (born in 1969, residing in Van Son commune, Do Luong district) to the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Provincial Police for investigation according to authority.
Nguyen Quoc Khanh is accused of causing the death of Nguyen Kim Dinh and injuring Nguyen Cong Giang.

According to the initial investigation results, Khanh and Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan are married, divorced, Khanh owes Ms. Xuan 53.5 million VND.
After many times of asking for money from Khanh without success, Ms. Xuan hired Nguyen Kim Dinh (born in 1987, residing in Yen Son commune, Do Luong) and Nguyen Cong Giang (born in 1986, from Nghia Dan, Nghe An) to collect the debt.
At around 10:15 a.m. on May 18, Dinh and Giang went to Khanh's house to collect a debt. There, Khanh rushed in with two knives in his hands and slashed Dinh, causing him to receive nine stabs and collapse on the spot. Although he was taken to the emergency room, Nguyen Kim Dinh died due to severe blood loss.
Nguyen Cong Giang was slashed twice in the arm and managed to run outside to call for help. After committing the crime, Nguyen Quoc Khanh took the weapon and fled the area.
Upon receiving the news, Do Luong District Police arrived, coordinated with the Provincial Police's professional units to investigate the scene, conduct an autopsy, and arrest suspect Khanh. At 9:45 p.m. the same day, Nguyen Quoc Khanh came to Do Luong District Police to surrender and declare his crime.
The case is being further investigated by the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police.
