Police investigate suspected poisoning of neighbor with herbicide.
(Baonghean.vn) - Through security camera footage, Ms. V. saw her neighbor carrying a bottle suspected to contain herbicide to her house with a suspicious attitude.
On May 21st, the Nam Dan District Police, in coordination with the Nam Xuan Commune Police, are investigating a case in which a family of five reported being poisoned by their neighbor using herbicide.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi V (born in 1990, residing in Hamlet 7, Nam Xuan Commune): In August 2018, Ms. V lost a large sum of money and suspected that her neighbor, Ms. Th.'s family, had stolen it, so she sent a text message to Ms. Th.'s child to inquire.
“At that time, I asked if they had taken the money, if not, then I would return it to them, and if not, then I apologized. But then Mrs. Th.'s family filed a complaint with the commune saying I was falsely accusing them of stealing the money. The commune then investigated and determined that I wasn't making false accusations, but only asking out of suspicion. The matter was subsequently mediated, but Mrs. Th.'s family refused to accept it,” Ms. V said.

Recently, Ms. V installed a security camera and was surprised to discover that Ms. Th. had brought a strange bottle of liquid into her house. Suspecting that Ms. Th. had brought poison to her family, Ms. V reported the incident to the Nam Xuan Commune Police for investigation.
“On May 15th, at 7:36 AM, I checked the camera footage and saw Ms. Th. carrying a bottle of liquid into my house. But the inner door was locked, so she ran out. I reported it to the commune police. The commune police summoned Ms. Th. for questioning, and she admitted that on May 14th, she had poured a bottle of herbicide into my family's well. On May 15th, Ms. Th. again brought a bottle of herbicide with the intention of putting it into my family's shampoo bottle, but because the door was locked, she went back home,” Ms. V explained.

Out of extreme fear of poisoning, five members of Ms. Van's family, including three adults and two children, went to the Nghe An Friendship General Hospital for examination. The hospital advised the family to go to Bach Mai Hospital (Hanoi) for further testing. Fortunately, all five tested negative for the poison.
Fearing for future health consequences, Ms. V's family requested the police to investigate and clarify the matter.

On May 20th, the Nam Dan District Police and the Nam Xuan Commune Police went to collect water samples from Ms. V's family and also invited Ms. Th. to the police station to give a statement and investigate the case.
