There is only a little over a month left until the regulation for fishing vessels over 24m must install navigation devices. My vessel is required to install and is supported by the State with the device, so we will feel more secure when going out to sea to fish, and the exchange between sea and land becomes easier.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Luong - Head of Nghe An Fisheries Sub-Department said: After installing the journey monitoring device, the vehicle owner must be responsible for preserving and maintaining it carefully. During fishing at sea, these devices must be turned on and operated 24/24 hours to help shore stations monitor and manage fishing vessels in accordance with regulations. Based on actual needs, Nghe An Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has submitted a request to the Directorate of Fisheries requesting the addition of 34 Movimar devices to be installed on all fishing vessels of 24m or more.
