Quy Chau district (Nghe An) announced the end of African swine fever
(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Committee of Quy Chau district has decided to declare the end of African swine fever. This is the 5th locality in the province to declare the end of the epidemic after Quynh Luu, Tan Ky, Do Luong, and Quy Hop districts.
Previously, on April 18, veterinary staff of Quy Chau district took samples of dead sick pigs at Mr. To Duy Tong's family, Quynh 2 hamlet, Chau Binh commune (Quy Chau) for testing, the results showed that Mr. Tong's pigs were positive for African swine fever. The local authorities organized the destruction of the pigs according to the correct procedure and announced the epidemic in the area.

After 30 days of African swine fever outbreak in Chau Binh commune, up to now, the locality has not had any new outbreaks. Based on regulations and actual situation, Quy Chau District People's Committee has issued Decision No. 1105/QD-UBND on declaring the end of African swine fever epidemic in Chau Binh commune and the threatened area of Chau Hoi commune.
Thus, up to this point, Quy Chau is the 5th district of Nghe An to declare the end of African swine fever, after 4 districts Quynh Luu, Do Luong, Tan Ky and Quy Hop. In the immediate future, activities of buying, selling, slaughtering and using pork will return to normal in these localities.
