Due to the influence of the compressed low pressure trough, there have been scattered showers and thunderstorms in the mountainous provinces of the North, with some places experiencing heavy rain such as: Bac Quang (Ha Giang) 70mm, Viet Lam (Ha Giang) 87mm.

Forecast: Due to the impact of the compressed low pressure trough combined with wind convergence up to 5000m, from now until May 29, the North and North Central regions will have rain, moderate rain, especially in the mountainous areas of the North, heavy rain, some places very heavy rain (common rainfall 30-80mm/24 hours, some places over 100mm/24 hours). During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Warning:The focus of this heavy rain is likely to occur in the provinces of Lang Son, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Lai Chau from tonight (May 27) to the night of May 28 (rainfall can reach 80-150mm/24 hours, in some places 150-200mm/24 hours).
