Sidewalk encroachment is occurring in many wards and communes in Vinh City.
(Baonghean.vn) - This was the assessment of the inter-agency inspection team led by Mr. Phan Huy Chuong - Deputy Chief Inspector of the Department of Transport, regarding the work of clearing traffic corridor violations in some wards and communes in Vinh City on the morning of May 28th.
During the morning, the delegation conducted on-site inspections on various roads in the Hung Loc, Hung Dung, and Ben Thuy wards and communes.

Regarding the roads within Hung Loc commune, the delegation noted numerous instances of encroachment on traffic safety corridors, detracting from urban aesthetics, especially in areas with businesses. During a meeting with the Hung Loc Commune People's Committee, the inter-agency delegation requested that the commune implement solutions to definitively resolve the encroachments at the intersection of Tran Trung Quang road in front of Coi market. This is a persistent problem of encroachment and re-encroachment on traffic safety corridors that has remained unresolved for a long time.
Mr. Phan Huy Chuong - Head of the delegation - requested the functional forces of the Hung Loc Commune People's Committee to inspect, rectify, and strictly handle organizations and individuals violating regulations by encroaching on sidewalks and traffic safety corridors in the area.

In Hung Dung ward, inspections revealed several areas of encroachment that need to be addressed. Particular attention should be paid to streets such as Nguyen Sy Sach, Tue Tinh, the kiosks and shops in front of Hung Dung market, the intersection of Nguyen Phong Sac, Ngo Quyen, and Tue Tinh streets… where many businesses display goods spilling onto sidewalks and walkways, especially service businesses such as car washes, building materials, and ceramics…
As for Ben Thuy ward, the delegation noted that the handling of violations involving encroachment on traffic safety corridors in the area was carried out well, with many roads free from encroachment.

During the meeting with the inter-agency inspection team, leaders of wards and communes reported on difficulties and obstacles, and also made several suggestions for the authorities to support their localities in successfully handling violations related to encroachment on traffic safety corridors.
On behalf of the working group, Mr. Phan Huy Chuong, Deputy Chief Inspector of the Department of Transport, requested that localities address shortcomings in the implementation process, comply with the latest regulations and documents, and develop more specific and long-term implementation plans. The group also acknowledged and accepted the suggestions from the localities to further advise competent authorities on research and implementation, aiming to improve the effectiveness of handling violations related to encroachment on traffic safety corridors in the province.
