X-ray technician prosecuted for raping 13-year-old patient
At the investigation agency, Mua A Cho confessed to all the rape he committed against patient LTN.
The Investigation Police Agency, Quynh Nhai District Police, Son La Province has issued a decision to prosecute Mua A Cho (born 1991), an X-ray technician at Quynh Nhai General Hospital, for raping a person under 16 years old.
At the investigation agency, Mua A Cho confessed to all the actions he had committed against the child patient LTN. Taking advantage of his profession, Cho committed the act of raping the victim when she was only 13 years and 14 days old. Mua A Cho's statement at the investigation agency also coincided with the child's accusation.

Previously, on the afternoon of May 21, at the Department of Diagnostic Imaging of Quynh Nhai District General Hospital, after Mua A Cho, a technician who was performing a chest X-ray on a 13-year-old female patient (residing in Chieng Khoang Commune, Quynh Nhai District), the patient reported to her family that she had been raped by Cho. Immediately after, her family rushed into the examination room and threatened to beat the technician. A large number of patients and their families gathered, causing disorder in the X-ray area.
Immediately after being reported, the Hospital Board of Directors proactively invited the District Police to assist in resolving the case. Afterwards, the relevant parties were invited to the District Police headquarters to take statements and verify. Accordingly, the Quynh Nhai District Police issued an emergency detention order against Mua A Cho for the act of "Raping a person under 16 years old"..
According to the child, when he first entered the room, Cho told him to stand and take pictures; then, he told him to take off his shirt and lie down on the table. After lying down on the table for a while, he saw the technician touching his sensitive parts. A few minutes later, Cho told him to go to the film development room for further examination. The film development room was very dark and the technician had committed rape. Because he was so scared and in the dark, the child did not dare to react.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Quynh Nhai District Police is continuing to investigate and clarify.
