With a new president, Ukraine increases fierce shelling in Lugansk region
Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have increased the number of shelling of civilian objects on the territory of the Lugansk People's Republic since Vladimir Zelensky came to power, - LNR Emergency Situations Minister Evgeny Katsavalov told journalists.
"Since Vladimir Zelensky took office as President of Ukraine, there has been a significant increase in the number of shelling by the Ukrainian armed forces on our region, and civilians continue to suffer losses," Katsavalov said.

"I would like to note that, as a rule, during any shelling, the number of fires increases, and in the current dry and hot weather conditions, the area of fires is spreading in the area. When extinguishing the fires, rescuers risk their lives because no one can be sure that the Ukrainian forces will not shell again," - the Minister added.
He stressed that the fires accompanying the shelling destroyed wheat fields, civil structures and residents' residential properties.
"In total, since May 20, heavy damage has been recorded at the points Golubovskoye, Zolotoe-5, Frunze," said Mr. Katsavalov.
