According to Ivan Mezyukho, Kiev's non-compliance with the Minsk agreements led to Moscow's decision for peaceful purposes to simplify the procedure for issuing Russian passports to Donbass residents.

“On this front, Nadezhda Savchenko made a sober statement,” said Mezyukho.

Mr. Mezyukho also noted that the conflict in the East of the country is continuing under the new leader of the Ukrainian state - President Zelensky.

“Zelensky did not fulfill his campaign promises about peace and was not able to peacefully resolve the situation in the east of the country. As the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, he should have had the right to issue a ceasefire decree, but he did not do so,” Mezyukho concluded.

Earlier, MP Savichenko stated that Ukraine has lost another battle in the fight for Donbass.

According to her, the issue here is related to Moscow's decision to simplify the procedure for issuing Russian passports to residents of the self-proclaimed independent Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
