The program, a collaboration between cardiologists from Hanoi Heart Hospital, National Children's Hospital, and Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, provides completely free screening for congenital heart defects.For children aged 0-16Children of this age may exhibit symptoms such as: Having been diagnosed/suspected of having congenital heart disease by doctors at medical facilities; Frequent and recurring coughs and wheezing; Abnormal breathing (rapid breathing, chest retraction upon inhalation); Frequent pneumonia and bronchitis; Slow feeding (lasting over 30 minutes) or inability to finish a feeding; Rapid breathing, excessive sweating, especially after feedings; Slow growth, pale skin, cold extremities, profuse sweating, and easy fatigue; Cyanosis of the lips, tongue, and fingertips; Shortness of breath during exertion.

The program was organized.From 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM on June 7th and 8th, 2019, and from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM on June 9th, 2019; atNghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital(No. 19, Ton That Tung Street, Vinh City, Nghe An Province).
If the child has a history of congenital heart disease, parents should bring the examination results so that doctors can re-examine the condition.
Furthermore, the examination program is free; parents do not need to register in advance or bring documents such as health insurance cards or household registration books. If the children come from disadvantaged backgrounds, the program will guide them through the necessary procedures to apply for free surgical assistance.
