In 2018, Russia delivered 80 man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS) to India, according to Russia's report in the United Nations Register of Conventional Weapons.

Earlier, the source told Sputnik that Russia won a tender in India for the supply of short-range air defense systems worth $1.5 billion with the Igla mobile air defense system.

According to the Register, in 2018, India received 80 Man-Portable Air-Defence Systems (MANPADS), which translates to mobile air defense systems.

In addition to India, Bahrain received a batch of 264 MANPADS in 2018. The contract with this country for the supply of mobile air defense equipment was signed in 2017.

In addition, the report provides data on the supply of missiles and launchers to China (72 units) and India (1,250 units), as well as information on the supply of combat helicopters to Thailand (2), Pakistan (4), Nigeria (2), Kazakhstan (4).
