Exchange of experience in foreign information work with Laos

On the morning of June 6, in Cua Lo town, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department held a conference to exchange experiences in foreign affairs between Nghe An province and the Lao People's Democratic Republic's Foreign Affairs Training Course, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. Speaking at the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Thi Thu Huong affirmed: Foreign information work in Nghe An province in recent times has been comprehensively and synchronously deployed and achieved many important results.

Implementing the Party and State's policies on consolidating and enhancing the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Nghe An province has maintained and developed cooperative relations in many fields with provinces of Laos.

With the characteristic of having the longest border with Laos in the country (419.5 km), bordering 3 provinces of Laos: Xieng Khouang, Bolikhamxay, Hua Phan, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department emphasized that Nghe An has a very good traditional relationship with many provinces of Laos.

In recent times, Nghe An has organized many friendly exchange activities with Lao provinces such as: organizing exchanges and meetings on the occasion of the traditional Bunpimay New Year; homestay friendship exchange program bringing students to exchange with families in residential areas; implementing the movement of twinning residential areas on both sides of the Vietnam - Laos border in the province; annually sending delegations to exchange and share experiences, etc.

The Head of the Propaganda Department of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee expressed that, in addition to the signed cooperation program between the two sides, Nghe An really wants to continue promoting the cooperative relationship and regularly exchanging foreign information work between the two sides.

At the conference, the two sides exchanged and shared experiences in foreign information and propaganda work; experiences in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values ​​in international integration and exchange; organizing forms of people-to-people diplomacy and experience in managing people-to-people diplomacy activities; experiences in propagating resolutions and directives on foreign information work; training high-quality human resources in the field of foreign information, etc.

The conference aims to help trainees of the training course have the opportunity to continue consolidating their knowledge, expanding their understanding of the country and people of Vietnam in particular, Nghe An in general, as well as the special traditional friendship between the two nations.
