Successfully rescued a person whose throat was threatened by a 'drug addict' with a knife
Kon Tum Provincial Police said they had just captured a subject who appeared to be on drugs and used a knife to control a resident's neck at night.
Previously, at around 11:30 p.m. on June 3, the 113 Rapid Response Police Force (Kon Tum Provincial Police) received a report from the public about a subject using a Thai knife to the neck of a man selling bread at the gate of Kon Tum General Hospital.
Immediately afterwards, Police 113 coordinated with Kon Tum City Police and the Traffic Police Patrol Team of Sao Mai Station (Kon Tum Traffic Police Department) to quickly disguise themselves, deploy forces to the scene, and follow and arrest the subject.
After using a knife to force the vendor onto the motorbike of a plainclothes man (Sergeant Nguyen Xuan Thinh - of the Kon Tum 113 Police Force) who was having a late-night snack nearby, the drug-addled subject continued to demand that the "motorbike taxi" take him to Gia Lai or he would kill the hostage.

At this moment, soldiers from the Kon Tum police force promptly responded, captured the subject, and safely rescued the hostage.
After being escorted to Kon Tum Police headquarters, the suspect declared his name as Vu Van Hai (born 1986), residing at 646 Duy Tan Street, Duy Tan Ward, Kon Tum City, Kon Tum Province.
