Türkiye accuses US of baseless foreign policy attacks
The US House of Representatives resolution “expressing concern about US-Türkiye relations”, which was passed a day earlier, contains baseless attacks on Türkiye’s foreign policy and is a blow to trust between the two countries, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday (June 11).

On June 10, the US House of Representatives unanimously passed a resolution calling on the White House to impose sanctions on Türkiye if Ankara receives Russia's S-400 air defense missile system.
"The resolution of the US House of Representatives is a blow to the trust between our countries. The baseless and unfair attacks on Türkiye's foreign policy in the resolution are unacceptable, as is the declaration of readiness to impose sanctions, threats and barriers to bilateral relations," the statement said.
The best way to resolve differences between friendly and allied countries is dialogue and respect for their sovereign decisions, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.
