(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An authorities have just discovered and punished 9 cases of exploiting mineral resources on the river and 1 case of using electric shock to fish at sea.

On June 13, the Waterway Crime Prevention Team of the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province inspected and punished 9 cases of violations of regulations on mineral resource exploitation.

Accordingly, at mineral exploitation sites in Thai Hoa town and Nghia Dan district, the authorities have fined 9 mine and boat owners for using vehicles without registration certificates and using suction vehicles that do not ensure technical safety, environmental protection and driving vehicles without a third-class captain's license, with a fine of 20 million VND.
Handling of vehicle owners storing electric shock devices for exploitation at sea
At 4:30 a.m. on June 13, while patrolling and controlling at sea at coordinates 18°45' N - 105° 46' E, the patrol and control team of Cua Hoi Border Guard Station, Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) discovered a vehicle owner possessing electric shocks for exploiting aquatic and marine products.
At the time of the inspection, the patrol team discovered that the vehicle - with a capacity of less than 20 CV - owned by Mr. Tran Van Nghia (born in 1975), residing in Xuan Giang hamlet, Nghi Xuan commune, Nghi Loc district, was storing 1 generator, 1 grid, 1 battery, and 25 meters of electric wire. The above behavior violated Clause 2, Article 15, Decree 103/2013/ND-CP dated September 12, 2013 of the Government.

Currently, Cua Hoi Border Control Station, Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port Border Guard Station has completed the file, administratively fined the vehicle owner 4 million VND and confiscated the exhibits for handling according to regulations.
