It is known that terrorists in Idlib, allies of "Jabhat al-Nusra" (a terrorist organization banned in Russia), fired at the Turkish military observation post, despite the ceasefire agreement.
It was emphasized that the Turkish command requested the assistance of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties "in ensuring the security of servicemen and striking a punitive blow at the positions of terrorists."
"According to the coordinates provided by the Turkish side, the Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft carried out four bombing raids. As a result, the terrorists' militants and field artillery units in the Dokmak residential area and the Jebel-Tavert hilltop, which had fired at the Turkish observation post, were completely destroyed," the statement said.
The statement stressed that close cooperation between the Russian and Turkish commands in the fight against terrorism in Syria will continue.
