Nguyen Quang Tinh is a face that emerged from the Youth Football Tournament - Nghe An Newspaper Cup in 2000. In the Do Luong Children's team, Nguyen Quang Tinh played extremely well, contributing greatly to the team's championship. Thanks to those impressive performances, Nguyen Quang Tinh was recruited directly into the SLNA training center and participated in the 2000 National Children's Football Tournament with the Nghe An Children's team (winning the Bronze Medal).

With his talent and hard work, the player from Do Luong has successively worn the colors of U13, U15, U17, U19, U21 and SLNA's first team. The 2011 V.League championship under coach Nguyen Huu Thang is Nguyen Quang Tinh's most outstanding achievement in the hometown team's shirt. Notably, in the 2015 season, Nguyen Quang Tinh was trusted by coach Ngo Quang Truong to take on the role of captain of the Nghe An team.

Returning to SLNA after 3 years with XSKT Can Tho (2016 - 2018), Nguyen Quang Tinh still proved his importance at Vinh Stadium. Since the beginning of V.League 2019 until now, the player wearing the number 28 shirt has played 466 minutes and scored 1 goal for SLNA (a goal against SHB Da Nang in round 6). The 31-year-old midfielder once revealed that after retiring from the field, he will pursue a career as a coach.
