Building a strong organization and peasant class

The conference was attended by 160 delegates who are Executive Committee members, full-time officials of the Provincial Farmers' Association and 21 districts and cities.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Quang Tung - Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Union, briefly reported the results of the 7th Congress of Vietnam Farmers' Union and noted a number of points to effectively study and implement the Resolution.

The goal of the Congress Resolution is to build a clean and strong Farmers' Association and peasant class; promote the role of the Association and peasant class in developing prosperous agriculture, wealthy farmers, and civilized and modern countryside.

During the 3 days (from June 18 to 20), delegates attending the conference will study topics issued by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union; focusing on 3 topics: Building a clean and strong Vietnamese Farmers' Union and peasant class; Mobilizing farmers to develop prosperous agriculture, wealthy farmers, civilized and modern countryside; Participating in building a strong Party and government and promoting the strength of great national unity.

Regarding the content of the 2019 Association's professional training, trainees were informed of some key contents and tasks that Farmers' Associations at all levels need to implement in the coming time, such as: Grasping the ideological situation and orienting public opinion among farmers; Mobilizing and consulting on the establishment of cooperatives and cooperatives; Providing professional guidance on implementing entrusted loans from the Social Policy Bank and the management and use of farmer support funds.

At the conference, delegates discussed and resolved difficulties and problems in the organization and operation of farmers' associations at all levels; directed propaganda work, guided farmers' association members to grasp the content of the topics, helped association officials clearly understand the tasks of the association; thereby building programs, plans, and mobilizing members and farmers to effectively implement the goals set out by the resolutions of the congresses of farmers' associations at all levels.

Also at the conference, the Standing Committee of the Farmers' Association of Nghe An province launched a campaign for civil servants and officials of the Provincial Association, districts, cities and towns to support the construction of the "House of Great Unity of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups" on Truong Sa archipelago and the Memorial House of the famous person Hoang Hoa Tham in Hung Yen province, mobilized by the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association... After the launching ceremony, the Farmers' Association officials in the province donated and supported more than 39 million VND.
