69-year-old man arrested for repeatedly raping 8-year-old girl
Y said that from the beginning of May 2019 to June 12, 2019, Mr. Nghe had sexual intercourse with her 4 times in the room and on the floor.
On the afternoon of June 18, An Phu District Police handed over Tran Van Nghe (born in 1950, residing in Phu Huu Commune, An Phu District, An Giang Province) to the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police to continue investigating the act of "Raping a person under 16 years old" according to authority.
According to the initial investigation results, at around 6:30 p.m. on June 12, 2019, Y. (born in 2011, residing in Phu Huu commune, An Phu district, An Giang province) asked Mrs. E (Y's grandmother) to go to a neighbor's house to watch TV.

At around 7pm that same day, Mrs. E did not see her grandson return, so she went to look for him. When she arrived at Mr. Tran Van Nghe's house, she discovered Y running out from under the floor. Mrs. E asked and Y said that Mr. Nghe had had sex with her, so Mrs. E immediately went to the Phu Huu Commune Police to report the incident.
Through investigation, Y said that from the beginning of May 2019 to June 12, 2019, Mr. Nghe had sexual intercourse with her 4 times in his room and on the floor of his house.
At the investigation agency, at first Mr. Nghe was evasive and did not admit to sexually abusing Y. However, through the police's professional measures and the victim's testimony, Mr. Nghe admitted to his violation.
