Explaining directly at the hall, Mr. Nguyen Huu Sang - Chairman of Anh Son District People's Committee said that regarding the merger of administrative units, the district has deployed and thoroughly disseminated to the grassroots for a long time. At that time, based on 2014 statistics, the district's population of Tam Son commune was only 2,300 people, with an area of 13.8 km2.2. Therefore, the population and area criteria do not reach 50%. The district plans to merge with Thanh Son commune. However, a recent population survey shows that Tam Son currently has 2,700 people, more than half the criteria. Therefore, the province agrees not to include Tam Son commune in the merger with other communes in phase 1.
