Director of Nghe An Department of Education and Training visits family of drowned student in Thanh Chuong
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 24, Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Department of Education and Training visited the family of a student who drowned in Thanh Tuong commune, Thanh Chuong district.
The incident occurred on the evening of June 23, killing three students. Among them, one was a 7th grader at Dong Tuong Secondary School and two were 12th graders at Thanh Chuong 1 High School and Nguyen Canh Chan High School.

Regarding these cases, at the working session with leaders of high schools and leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Chuong district, comrade Thai Van Thanh requested that the district promptly verify the incident.
In addition, there is information that among the drowning students, there were cases where they bravely sacrificed themselves to save their friends. Therefore, the Department Director requested that the school and local authorities pay special attention, verify and soon complete the dossier to posthumously award the "Brave Youth" badge.

Currently, Thanh Chuong district is also the only locality where students taking the exam have to cross the Phuong ferry with 162 students from Dang Thai Mai High School to the exam site at Nguyen Sy Sach High School.
Therefore, in addition to the district creating favorable conditions for students to cross the river smoothly and on time, the Director of the Department of Education and Training requested that the district have a plan in case of unusual weather. If necessary, cars will be arranged to take students to the exam site and provide lunch for all candidates.
