Accordingly,At noon on June 28, at position 19 degrees 32.334' N 107 degrees 42.263' E (about 32 nautical miles south of Bach Long Vi island), the Pacific 01 ship was traveling from Binh Thuan to Cam Pha (Quang Ninh) when it suddenly collided with the fishing boat of Mr. Ho Ba Lam - owner of fishing boat NA-95899-TS in Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province, with 19 crew members on board.

The strong collision caused the fishing boat of Quynh Luu fishermen to capsize, the boat floated on the sea surface. After that, the Pacific 01 ship picked up 9 crew members, the health condition of the crew members is normal. The remaining 10 crew members who have not been found are being searched by the Pacific 01 ship and fishing boats of fishermen of Son Hai and Tien Thuy communes.
As of this morning (June 29), rescue forces have found the body of one fisherman and are continuing to search for nine missing fishermen.
Upon receiving the information, the Maritime Search and Rescue Center of Region 1 sent SAR 911 and Navy ship 636 to approach the area of the ship in distress. It is expected that they will arrive at the area of the ship in distress at 10:00 p.m. tonight (June 29).
