Hung Chau commune (Hung Nguyen district) receives certificate recognizing it as a new-style rural commune.
(Baonghean.vn) - On June 29th, Hung Chau commune (Hung Nguyen district) held a ceremony to celebrate achieving the status of a new rural commune, meeting the national criteria for healthcare, and having cultural and sports facilities that meet the standards.
Attending the ceremony was Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the National Target Program on Building New Rural Areas.
After 8 years of implementing the National Target Program for building new rural areas, the entire political system of Hung Chau commune has joined forces, promoting propaganda and mobilizing resources totaling 182 billion VND, of which the people contributed 64 billion VND.

The face of the countryside is increasingly improving. To date, 13 km of rural roads have been paved with standard concrete. Pumping stations and irrigation canal systems have been built solidly to meet the irrigation needs of agricultural production. Cultural facilities from the commune to the hamlet level have been invested in and built to meet the prescribed standards.
Seven out of ten hamlets have been recognized as cultural villages. Primary and secondary schools have been recognized as meeting national standards, and the kindergarten has recently received investment for two spacious, clean, and beautiful classrooms. Traditional craft villages producing peanut candy, rice crackers, and rice wine continue to operate well, providing stable employment and income for hundreds of workers. The rate of regularly employed workers reaches 94.5%. In 2018, the average per capita income reached 34.3 million VND, and the poverty rate decreased to 2.9%.

The commune's Party Committee consistently achieves the "clean and strong" rating annually, and the local government excellently fulfills its duties. All organizations and associations achieve a rating of good or higher; security and order in the area are maintained stably.
Recognizing the commune as meeting the standards of a new rural area, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Hung Chau commune a project worth 500 million VND and recognized the commune as meeting national health standards for the period up to 2020.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - praised the officials, Party members, and people of Hung Chau for their efforts in successfully implementing the 19 criteria for new rural development. He also urged Hung Chau to continue mobilizing internal resources to improve and enhance the quality of the achieved criteria, and to continue building advanced new rural communes; thereby striving to build model new rural communes.

Hung Nguyen District also awarded Hung Chau commune 700 million VND and presented Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 4 individuals for their outstanding achievements.
