According to the project, Vinh City will use the following streets to organize a walking street: Ho Tung Mau (section from Cau Nai to the starting point of Vuong Thuc Mau Street), Nguyen Tai Street (starting point intersecting with Ho Tung Mau Street, ending point intersecting with Nguyen Van Cu Street), Nguyen Trung Ngan Street connecting with alley number 2 of Nguyen Trung Ngan Street, ending point intersecting with Nguyen Van Cu Street.

On these routes, the city will invest in upgrading the technical infrastructure system, repairing and upgrading roads, lighting, decorating flowers and trees, and renovating the facades of businesses on the walking street. Develop plans to organize business activities on the walking street, organize cultural and entertainment activities, traffic flow, and parking lots to serve people and tourists.

Having heard about the walking street, many people in Truong Thi ward agreed to support it and are looking forward to its completion and operation.

At the same time, representatives of the people of the blocks also contributed ideas to build a more complete walking street such as: Business service fees, parking, how to transport goods during the walking street, garbage collection, flood treatment during the rainy season, security and order on the street, and plans to attract tourists to the walking street...

Vinh City’s policy of building a walking street is very practical. The city will have a reasonable and synchronous investment plan to create a highlight for city tourism, becoming a dynamic and interesting destination for visitors. It is expected that the walking street will be officially opened and put into use in September 2019.

And issues of concern

Up to now, basically, the departments and branches believe that the pilot organization of opening a walking street in Vinh city is necessary, in order to create more recreational, entertainment and cultural activities to increase the attractiveness of attracting tourists to Nghe An in general and Vinh city in particular. Currently, 90% of the city's residents agree with the policy, 10% of the residents disagree.

However, for the above proposed routes and the content of the walking street organization, the city needs to pay more attention to the following issues:

Have a complete investment plan for infrastructuresuch as sidewalk paving, lighting systems, decorative lights, urban infrastructure improvement... routes serving walking streets and routes connecting to walking streets.

In addition, Nguyen Trung Ngan and Nguyen Tai streets have limited infrastructure and business services (no lighting system, sidewalks are only 2m wide, not many entertainment facilities...), so what solutions will the city have for these two streets?
