Prosecution of a group of young people organizing inter-district gambling in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - The Investigation Police Agency of Do Luong District Police (Nghe An) has just issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute 4 suspects for the act of "Gambling".
Through the work of grasping the situation, Do Luong District Police discovered recently that in Da Son and Bai Son communes and some neighboring localities, a group of people organized gambling.
The subjects not only attracted a number of young people in the area but also many subjects from other communes and districts to participate. A special project was established to fight and clarify.

Through professional measures, the Task Force identified the ringleader as Nguyen Dang Hoang (born in 1991, residing in Hamlet 12, Da Son Commune). The methods of the subjects were extremely sophisticated, mainly transacting via text messages, Zalo messages, then transferring money via bank transfer. Old data was quickly destroyed to "destroy evidence".
Accordingly, when the subjects used mobile phones to text the numbers to bet (lottery numbers, lottery numbers, cross numbers) to Nguyen Dang Hoang's phone number, Hoang would confirm that he would hold those numbers and then base on the Northern lottery results that day to determine the winner or loser. In each text message, Hoang and the subjects had their own symbols to distinguish the form of betting and the amount of money bet, specifically: "de" (lottery numbers); "lo" (lottery numbers); "mc" (each number)...
Based on the investigation results, it was determined that: From June 8 to 10, 2019, Nguyen Dang Hoang organized gambling with Hoang Van Quang (born in 1988), Nguyen Trong Chung (born in 1982), Nguyen Van An (born in 1988), all residing in Bai Son commune, Do Luong district; Nguyen Dinh Tuan (born in 1988), residing in Trung Thanh commune, and Cao Dang Cuong (born in 1980), residing in Minh Thanh commune, both in Yen Thanh district, in the form of recording lottery numbers. The total amount of money Nguyen Dang Hoang participated in gambling with the subjects was nearly 100 million VND.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Do Luong District Police has decided to prosecute the case and prosecute Nguyen Dang Hoang, Hoang Van Quang, Nguyen Dinh Tuan and Nguyen Van An for the act of "Gambling".
