(Baonghean.vn) - At Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery and Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery, the delegation of Nghe An province respectfully offered flowers and incense at each grave of martyrs from Nghe An.

Towards the 72nd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2019), on the afternoon of July 2, Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province led the delegation of Nghe An province to offer flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs resting at Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery,National Cemetery of Martyrs Route 9, Quang Tri province.

The delegation included comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors, unions and armed forces in the province.

To practically commemorate the 72nd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2019), the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee directed the establishment of working delegations to visit and present gifts to a number of units caring for war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs' families, and outstanding people with meritorious services; offer flowers and incense at historical sites and martyrs' cemeteries in the area as well as the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery and the Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery.

Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery and Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery are two of 72 martyrs' cemeteries in Quang Tri province.

Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery is the resting place of 10,263 heroic martyrs who fought and served bravely for 16 years on the legendary Truong Son road, including 1,297 graves of martyrs who are children of Nghe An province.

The National Road 9 Martyrs' Cemetery is the resting place of 10,087 heroic martyrs who fought and served on the Road 9 front, the Quang Tri battlefield and Laos during the resistance war against the US, including 220 martyrs from Nghe An.

Today, these two martyrs' cemeteries are places of honor, shining symbols of revolutionary heroism, of the spirit and will to fight for independence and the desire for peace of our people.

At the two cemeteries, the delegation of Nghe An province respectfully offered flowers and incense at the Uncle Ho Memorial House, the Cemetery Center Memorial, the Memorial Stele and each grave of the martyrs of Nghe An homeland.

With sincere respect, the delegation of Nghe An province expressed deep gratitude and infinite sorrow for the heroic and noble sacrifice of the martyrs who fell for the independence and freedom of the nation.

We pledge before the souls of the martyrs that the Party Committee and people of Nghe An province are determined to promote the emulation movement and labor production to build the homeland of beloved Uncle Ho to become increasingly prosperous and civilized; the people's lives to become increasingly prosperous and happy, worthy of the heroic sacrifices of the heroes and martyrs./.
