Nghe An Border Guard maintains maximum number of troops ready to respond to storm No. 2

(Baonghean.vn) - To proactively respond to the developments of storm No. 2 (international name Mun) in the East Sea, the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province has directed coastal units to urgently deploy proactive responses to the developments of storm No. 2.

Accordingly, units closely monitor warning and forecast bulletins on mass media; check and review flood and storm prevention and control plans, search and rescue; maintain maximum number of personnel and permanent vehicles according to regulations to be ready to respond when required.

Border guards help fishermen anchor their boats to avoid collisions.

Coordinate with local authorities and ship owners' families to promptly notify and guide vehicle owners and captains of ships and transport vessels operating at sea to know the location and direction of the storm so that they can proactively avoid it and have appropriate production plans, ensuring the safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle any bad situations that may occur; count and report all people and fishing boats operating at sea.

The stations are ready to prohibit all ships, boats and vehicles from going out to sea when ordered. The units also send teams to the area to guide and help fishermen and boat owners to anchor their ships and boats to avoid and take shelter from storms safely.
