(Baonghean.vn) - While fishing with friends, a 4th grade student in Coi village, Luong Minh commune (Tuong Duong) slipped and fell into the river and unfortunately drowned.
The leader of Luong Minh commune said that after nearly 2 days of relatives and authorities searching, at around 10:00 a.m. on July 7, the body of Cut Thi Phuong Linh was found not far from the river where Linh drowned.

Previously, on the afternoon of July 5, Cut Thi Phuong Linh (born in 2009) and 4 other friends in the village went fishing at the Coi estuary flowing into the Nam Non River, Luong Minh Commune, Tuong Duong District.
After finishing catching fish, Linh waded back into the river to wash the mud off her clothes, unfortunately slipped and fell into the water.
Although her friends tried to save her and called for help, due to the deep water, Linh was swept away.
At the time Linh drowned, the river water level was not high and the flow was normal.
Immediately after learning about the incident, the leaders of Luong Minh commune reported to the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district and the district leaders requested Ban Ve Hydropower Company to close the floodgate to lower the water level to support the search for the victim's body.
It is known that Mr. Cut Van Toan has 5 children, Cut Thi Phuong Linh is the 4th child, currently in 4th grade.
