Former Georgian president brawls in court, breaks woman's arm

Former Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili broke an elderly woman's arm during a brawl at a courthouse in Odessa.

Mr. Saakashvili, together with his supporters, according to the newspaper, formed a security detachment outside the building where the verdict was delivered in the case of illegal purchase of the “Krayan” plant by the city mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov.

The former governor, in a scuffle with his opponents and the mayor’s security forces, hit an elderly woman. As a result, according to Odessit.ua, the pensioner fell and broke her arm, after which she was hospitalized.

The Ukrainian channel “24 kanal” also reported on the brawl involving Saakashvili outside the court, but did not mention the injured pensioner in the story. For its part, the Odessa news agency “Timer” wrote that an elderly woman was injured in the arm.
