At the discussion session in the hall on the morning of July 11, the 9th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, the issues of management, quality and price of domestic water were focused on by delegates, requesting clarification.
Receiving the opinions of the delegates, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy commented that the issue of domestic water prices is a lesson for managers, because it not only relates to the interests of investors, but also affects the lives of people.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy affirmed that the province's viewpoint is to put the interests and health of the people first. Therefore, to solve this problem, in the coming time, the province will do it methodically, in accordance with legal procedures. Accordingly, comrade Thai Thanh Quy pointed out 3 main groups of tasks:
The Provincial People's Committee will control to the maximum, ensuring the quality of output and input.of water sources; requiring businesses to install automatic monitoring to control both inputs and outputs; and regularly monitor water treatment processes, as well as use chemicals appropriately.
The Provincial People's Committee will calculate the most reasonable and approve the water price. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that delegates and voters will trust the levels, sectors, and the province to resolve the difficulties and affirms that the Provincial People's Committee will approve the adjustment of water prices soon and reasonably.
According to Circular 88 of the Ministry of Finance regulating the water price framework for type 1 and type 2 urban areas, for Vinh city - type 1 urban area, the water price framework ranges from 3,000 VND - 18,000 VND/m3Currently, the water price of Vinh City is at 10,000 VND/m3. Compared with neighboring provinces and cities such as Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh - type 2 urban areas, with price range of 3,500 VND - 14,000 VND/m3, then water prices in the above localities are also approximately the same as Nghe An province.
The Provincial People's Committee will develop clean water standards in localities, properly manage domestic water for people; Actively call for investors in this field to have healthy competition, bring better quality and lower prices.
