President Trump yesterday (July 11) accused China of failing to fulfill its promise to increase purchases of US agricultural exports.

The information was posted by the White House owner on his personal Twitter page in the context of US and Chinese trade officials promoting the first contacts in many months to restore US-China trade negotiations that broke down last May.

According to the content of the status posted on his personal Twitter page, the US President emphasized, "Mexico is doing well in its commitments in the border area, but China is disappointing the US by not buying the US agricultural products that they had committed to. Hopefully China will soon fulfill its promise."

At a meeting on the sidelines of the recent G20 Summit, US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed to resume negotiations to reach an agreement to end the year-long trade war between the world's two largest economies.

The US side agreed to temporarily exempt 110 Chinese products from high tariffs for one year starting July 9, to support some US companies affected by the White House's tax policy. In addition, the US will also allow the sale of some US products to Chinese telecommunications technology group Huawei. In return, China will start importing US agricultural products again./.
