Start salvaging the sunken fishing boat in Nghe An with 9 fishermen missing
Military units will send divers down to a depth of 41 meters to tie nets and combine them with fishing boat anchors to salvage fishing boat NA 95899, which sank, leaving 9 fishermen missing.
Colonel Nguyen Huu Hung - Deputy Chief of Office of the National Committee for Search and Rescue, Deputy Director of the Department of Search and Rescue (Ministry of National Defense), said that this morning, July 12, military forces will deploy a plan to salvage the NA fishing boat that sank in the sea 34 nautical miles from Bach Long Vy Island with 9 fishermen missing.
Specifically, at 3:30 p.m. on July 11, the diving robot on the TC 69 ship of Saigon New Port Corporation successfully hooked the anchor line of fishing boat NA 95899 to the cable of TC 69 ship.

This morning, groups of divers will dive to a depth of 41m to tie the net, then ship TC 69, combined with the fishing boat's anchor rope, will proceed to salvage the boat.
Currently, divers are urgently removing the net wrapped around the ship. This is very difficult because the ship is at a depth of 60m, divers only have 30 minutes of diving time at a time, but the time to dive and surface takes 20 minutes, so there is only 10 minutes left to operate and handle.
According to the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region 1, rescue forces will try to remove all nets by July 12 so that robots can enter the ship to search for the missing crew members.
According to Colonel Nguyen Huu Hung, different groups of divers are being used at the scene, including divers mobilized by the Navy and professional divers from the Saigon Newport Corporation.

In parallel with the process of salvaging fishing boat NA 95899, the search and rescue command also mobilized two pairs of trawlers from Thanh Hoa to the scene to surround the sinking fishing boat of Nghe An to search for the bodies of the fishermen.
Previously, on June 28, Nghe An province fishing boat NA 95899, owned by Mr. Ho Ba Lam (Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An) with 19 fishermen on board, was collided with Pacific 01 causing the fishing boat to sink. Immediately after the accident, surrounding ships rescued 9 fishermen and recovered the body of 1 member of the fishing boat. The remaining 9 fishermen are still missing.
Search and rescue efforts for the crew members on this fishing boat encountered many difficulties. When the fishing boat sank in deep water, search and rescue efforts were interrupted due to the impact of storm No. 2.
Immediately after the storm, the Office of the National Committee for Incident, Disaster Response and Search and Rescue held a meeting to assess the situation and continued to mobilize forces and vehicles to return to the area where the fishing boat sank to search for the missing fishermen.
