On the morning of July 13, in commemoration of the 72nd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2019), a delegation of the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province led by comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee came to burn incense to pay tribute to heroic martyrs in Hung Nguyen and Do Luong districts and visited a number of policy families in the area.The delegation included comrade Ho Phuc Hop - Standing Committee member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors and armed forces of the province.

At the Nghe Tinh Soviet Historical Relic Site, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy and the delegates laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs; expressing their respect and deep gratitude to the Soviet children and ancestors who fell in the revolutionary movement in the period of 1930 - 1931. |

The delegation then offered flowers and incense at Truong Bon National Historical Site (the resting place of 13 youth volunteers and the place of worship of 1,240 martyrs who sacrificed their lives on the Truong Bon front line) and Do Luong District Martyrs Cemetery (the resting place of 10,804 martyrs who were Vietnamese experts and volunteer soldiers who heroically sacrificed their lives in the long-term resistance war against foreign invaders to protect the Fatherland and carry out international missions in Laos). |

Moved and impressed by the great sacrifices of the heroic martyrs, the delegation of Nghe An province promised to always uphold the spirit of solidarity; actively study and work; strive to excellently fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people, contributing to the development of the homeland.In Do Luong district, the delegation visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Phan Van Hue - Luong Thi Vien (parents of martyr Phan Van Than who died in 1978) in Giang Son Dong commune; the family of Mr. and Mrs. Hoang Ngoc Van - Ho Thi Dung (parents of martyr Hoang Van Hien) in Giang Son Tay commune.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy expressed his deep gratitude for the great dedication and sacrifice of the families in the struggle for national independence and freedom. Kindly inquiring about the health and living conditions of the martyrs' relatives, comrade Thai Thanh Quy expressed his wish that they take care of their health, continue to set a good example and be a strong spiritual support for their children and grandchildren. |
