(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, there are 3 districts, cities and towns in Nghe An where African swine fever has not yet appeared, however the epidemic is also developing complicatedly in many other localities.
As of July 13, in Nghe An, there are 03 districts that have not had African swine fever: Nghia Dan district, Thai Hoa town and Cua Lo; 03 districts have been free of the epidemic: Thanh Chuong, Anh Son and Nam Dan. Of which, 46 communes of 15 districts, cities and towns have announced the end of the epidemic.

However, African swine fever has been complicated in Nghe An in recent days, mostly in the districts of Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Que Phong, and Ky Son.
According to the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, in the past week (from July 7 to 13), in Nghe An, African swine fever spread to 158 households, in 18 hamlets, of 3 communes. The number of pigs destroyed was 679, with a total weight of more than 31 tons. Compared to last week, this week increased by 23 pigs but the weight decreased by nearly 4 tons.
During the week, the epidemic broke out in two new communes in Que Phong, Chau Kim and Tien Phong; Bong Khe commune (Con Cuong) had just announced the end of the epidemic on July 9, but on July 11, the epidemic broke out again.

In addition, many communes have had new outbreaks: Quynh Thanh, Quynh Bang (Quynh Luu), Long Thanh (Yen Thanh), Tri Le, Quang Phong, Cam Muon (Que Phong) and some communes of Ky Son district. Among them, Quynh Thanh commune has the most cases with 2-3 samples tested positive for African swine fever on certain days.
As of July 13, African swine fever had occurred in Nghe An in 1,938 households, 404 hamlets, 147 communes, 18 districts, towns and cities. The total number of pigs culled was 7,823, with a total weight of 350,535.8 kg.
