Details of graduation rates of schools in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - The graduation rate of the whole province this year is 95.24%, lower than last year but not beyond expectations because this year the National High School Exam Regulations have many changes in the form of graduation consideration.
According to Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh: This year, through calculating the data, the graduation rate of candidates in Nghe An is 95.24%.
This rate is about 2% lower than last year, however, this is within expectations because this year, the Ministry of Education and Training changed the graduation recognition method. Accordingly, if in previous years, the graduation rate was calculated at a ratio of 50/50 (50% graduation exam score and 50% admission score). But, this year, this ratio is 70/30 (70% graduation exam score and 30% admission score).

Currently, the Department of Education and Training is considering special treatment for 18 candidates who did not take the National High School Exam due to problems before and during the exam day. However, this number is not expected to have much impact on the graduation recognition rate.
According to statistics, this year the whole province had 126 candidates with failing scores. Of these, 20 students failed in Math, 6 in Literature, 7 in Physics, 11 in Chemistry, 8 in Biology, 17 in History, 9 in Geography, 2 in Civic Education and 46 in Foreign Language.
However, the number of candidates from Nghe An who achieved high scores was also very high. The whole province had over 650 candidates with scores of 9.5 points or higher, of which the highest was 362 candidates in Civic Education.
At the end of the National High School Exam, Nghe An had a student who was the valedictorian of block C, that was Hoang Thi Thai Bao - a student of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.
