(Baonghean.vn)- Coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his team faced many strong opponents in the group stage of the regional U18 championship. Martial artist Nam Anh Kiet was dismissed from his position as the Chief of the sect after sending people to "ambush" the head of the Nam Bac Wing Chun sect.

U18 Thailand vs Vietnam

The tournament will take place from August 6 to August 19 at Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, with some matches in Binh Duong. According to the draw results, host Vietnam is in Group B with Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, Singapore and Cambodia. Group A includes Myanmar, Indonesia, Laos, Timor Leste, the Philippines and Brunei.

To prepare for the tournament, the Vietnam U18 team gathered in Hanoi, and just played a friendly match, losing 0-1 to Vietnam U23 on July 10.

This morning, July 15, Mr. Tuan and his team left for Japan to train at the Gotemba Center in Shizuoka Prefecture. During the 11-day training here, the team will play against students from Kanagawa University (July 17), Sanno University (July 21), and Nihon Kougakuin University (July 24).

The squad has some changes as injured players such as Nguyen Nhat Nguyen, Phan Tuan Tai, Nguyen Nhi Khang, and Luong Duy Cuong have to leave the team. Coach Hoang Anh Tuan called up five players who have just played well in the National U17 Finals, including Nguyen Huu Tiep, Nguyen Ba Duong, Nguyen Ngoc Tu (Viettel), Vo Nguyen Hoang, and Trinh Quang Truong (PVF).

On July 26, Mr. Tuan and his team will return home and station in Ho Chi Minh City to participate in the tournament. Vietnam U18 will play their first match, against Malaysia U18 on August 7.

The sect master was dismissed for "ambushing" the sect leader.

The disciplinary sentence against Nam Anh Kiet was issued on the evening of July 15 - three days after the fight with martial arts master Nam Nguyen Khanh.

For nearly two years, Master Pierre Flores has been to Hanoi many times to compete with some domestic masters. On social media, Master Nam Nguyen Khanh commented on why Nam Anh Wing Chun did not send Vietnamese masters to compete but used foreigners. From this, he and Nam Anh Kiet exchanged words and made an appointment to challenge each other.

On July 13, Nam Anh Kiet brought a number of people to the martial arts school of master Nam Nguyen Khanh. The head of the Nam Anh Wing Chun sect "ambushed" him, causing injuries to the head of the Nam Bac Wing Chun sect's eyes, back, and stomach...

A day later, the representative of Nam Anh Wing Chun came to negotiate but instead of apologizing, he even made a challenge. Master Nam Nguyen Khanh said that his opponent intentionally released the video of him being beaten to humiliate him.

The Vietnamese traditional martial arts community was outraged by Nam Anh Kiet's unsportsmanlike actions. The authorities have stepped in to clarify the matter. Under pressure from public opinion, Nam Anh Wing Chun decided to remove Nam Anh Kiet from his position as Grand Master.

Ho Chi Minh City Club will receive a big bonus if it wins the V-League

After defeating Binh Duong 2-0 to regain the top spot in the V-League on July 12, Ho Chi Minh City FC was awarded one billion VND. Yesterday, July 14, the team held a ceremony to announce four strategic partners. Accordingly, two new sponsors promised to reward each unit one billion VND, if Mr. Chung Hae-soung and his team won the championship this season. In addition, the team also received a five-year sponsorship package for uniforms, travel, training and competition from a sports fashion brand.

Ho Chi Minh City FC led the V-League throughout the first leg, at one point leaving defending champion Hanoi five points behind. However, in the first match of the second leg, they were overtaken by Hanoi. In round 15 last weekend, Ho Chi Minh City regained the top spot after the capital's representative was held to a 1-1 draw by Khanh Hoa.

Ho Chi Minh City will receive a big bonus if they maintain their top position until the end of the season.
Despite their impressive form this season, Chung Hae-song and his team are still doubtful about their ability to win the V-League. Mr. Duc recently said: "Even if Ho Chi Minh City hires Messi, they still cannot win the V-League because they alone cannot compete with five other teams. If Ho Chi Minh City wins the championship, I will lose everything."

However, according to Mr. Nguyen Huu Thang - Chairman of the Club, Ho Chi Minh City is not concerned about such opinions. This manager said: "I reminded the coaching staff and players not to let such information affect the team. Ho Chi Minh City must rely on internal strength, play well in each match. Whether or not we win the championship depends on our own efforts, not on anyone else. The answer will be at the end of the season".

Coach Chung Hae-soung was modest about Ho Chi Minh City's goals. "For us, every match is a final. Whether we win or not, we have not said anything yet. We just try our best in each match and hope that the team will achieve the highest results at the end of the season," he shared at the press conference.

Because Thong Nhat Stadium is hosting the Ho Chi Minh City International Athletics Tournament, coach Chung Hea-song and his team will choose Ba Ria Stadium as their home field when hosting Da Nang in round 16 of the V-League on July 17.
